Default 2002 Corolla leaking burned looking oil after driving and parking. Runs great though.?
My 2002 Corolla leaks a burned looking oil in my garage floor. Runs great although I do add 1 qt. per 500 miles of driving. Burned looking oil has me confused as where it may be leaking.















Oil in the pan is clean. Can easily see when I pull the dip stick. I will have to jack it up and take a look as these cars sit low to the ground.















Dripping down onto the trans pan the to the floor but is not the trans pan. Thanks for all your help.

toyotas are infamous for requiring the drain plug be replaced periodically with oil change, it may be that. the burning is interesting. maybe , (hopefully) you just have old thinned out oil. change it and change the drain plug, available at local toyota dealer. always use toyota parts.

LOOK UNDER THE CAR , FOR THE DRAIN PLUG,OR TIGHT THE OIL FILTER,CHECK THE OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT , THESE ARE THE MAIN POINTS.THEN THE OIL SEALS AND CYLINDER HEAD COVER GASKET.https://sites.google.com/site/autobestanswer/toyota

It is possible that an oil seal somewhere may have failed which has lead to oil leaking on your garage floor. Depending on where the leak is located, that part of the assembly will have to be taken apart and reassemble with a new oil seal. The oil seal is cheap, however the labor charges may be high.































However what need to done, simply has to be done and there is no point in putting it off. Just hoist your car and pin point the troubled area. Get the job done man. Otherwise the car is good.
