91 Toyota Tercel cv axle leaking?

Default 91 Toyota Tercel cv axle leaking?
I just noticed my CV Axle is leaking fluid where it connects inside the transmission, how much does a transmission shop normally charge to change the seal and how long does it take?

Your cv axel on your 91 Toyota Tercel is leaking due to your cv axle boot is busted. This is about $200.00 to repair per side that is leaking. You will need a new cv axle because the metal parts are no longer lubricated due to the cv axle boot that holds the grease for the cv axle has been released due to bursting. Only repair the side that is burst if the other side is not burst there is no need to repair it.

Cost is around $150 $350 depending on parts. If the seal just broke then you can just replace the boot. If the boot has cracked open for a long time then figure you will need CV joint. 1-3 hour job.
