1995 Toyota Camry overheated. Starts but won't continue running?

Default 1995 Toyota Camry overheated. Starts but won't continue running?
This is a 95 4 cylinder automatic LE. It has a leak in the radiator. This morning it overheated. After it cooled it starts and runs for a couple minutes. Once it warms up it sputters and quits. Is it possibly some kind of heat sensor? What can I check before assuming the head is warped or cracked. Thanks for any help.

I think you have damaged your head.















Same problem happened to me















lets hope it does not ruin your piston.































My suggestion is dont try to start it up again, just open the head and see if there is any bending?















If there is bend on the head you need to surface grind it / port&polish

might pull codes first. not all codes stored prompt a light.















all you need is a jumper wire and your keys to pull codes on this. have the light blink,

consider, she might be in limp mode now. so do reset the ecu after pulling an addressing any code. pull 15 amp EFI main fuse. 30 secs. key off.

a leaky head/gasket might cause this as well, coming off cold start.















sounds like you're going that direction next.















outward signs, they can be bad w/o evidence of fluid cross contamination, puffing white smoke, or backfiring.

Possibly damaged head, or head gasket. Check your oil if it's watery and looks like coolant, coolant has been leaking in. expensive fix. If you're leaking coolant you MUST fix it right away, coolant is essential to keep you engine cool or else it will overheat. Also check your oil. 2 of the main things in maintenance. You can't just drive forever expecting it will last, no matter how carefully you drive. yeahhhhhh
