5S-FE I4,
firing order is, 1-3-4-2, Distributor rotation: counterclockwise.

the picture shows two types. the circular fig. is yours. enlarge it if you have to.
so #1 plug on the *engine* is the driver side one. closest to the distributor. then 2-3-4.
the distributor cap has a #1 mark on it. starting from that hole in the cap going clockwise.
so, shortest plug wire in the #1 mark on the cap goes to the #1 plug on the engine. next cap hole going clockwise, the wire will go to the #3 plug. next one goes to the #4 plug. the last one goes to the #2 plug.
if you haven't removed the distributor that's all you should need to get going. if you haven't loosened the distributor hold down bolts and turned the distributor.
if you have moved the distributor, pull cap and rotate distributor housing so the #1 plug hole on the cap is hovering over the electrode on the end of the rotor. tighten her down. done!
no timing adjustment is possible. the ecu will do the rest.
