1999 corolla oil problem?

Default 1999 corolla oil problem?
I have a 1999 Corolla CE that loses oil over time. (Goes below dipstick recommendation once a month) There are no signs whatsoever of an external oil leak. The car doesn't blow blue smoke so I'm quite sure it isn't burning it. I don't know maybe it burns so little that it doesn't show through the exhaust. The engine is old (166,000 Miles) but I keep it real healthy. I just need some suggestions as to where the source of this minor leak is.

they are known for burning oil but I have also seen them leak oil in the distributor and valve cover































sometimes vehicles can burn oil but you'll never see it unless you are behind the car as it's accelerating away

Try new oil cap.































Normal to lose 1 qt/ 1,000 mi.































See if oil's in the coolant: bad head gasket.































Also, vice versa, bad for engine, dilutes oil for one thing.
