No simple answer on this one. It would need to meet a variety of requierements from the DOT (maybe check with them to get a list). Also the EPA. Then there is the issue of the car having to be crash tested to insure that it meets minimum safety standards. This has to be done at a cost of between 30k up to maybe 65k. The only way that you can get around this is to try and obtain a letter from the manufacture certifying that it meets the minimum US standards (good luck with that). There is just no cut and dry process and it seems like more of a hassle than it would ever be worth. Sorry couldn't give you a better answer
