Default My 2007 corolla is shutting off on me?
April 2011 I flicked my lights; the car shuttered,I parked my car for maybe 30 minutes and when I tried to use my remote to unlock the doors it didn't work. I popped the hood and fooled with the battery and it started.After maybe a week of this foolishness I replaced the battery...I had no issues until november 2011 while driving I held my high beam switch and my car totally shut off all lights came off the dash and came back on. Now today my car is absolutely dead. WTH!.....I'm up to date in my maintenance and no lights were on

It's electrical Joan. Electricity is like magic to some people. You are one of them. Maintenance has zero to do with it. Visit a mechanic. Not a wizard.

It sounds like you have a short in that extra high beam circuit. You need to check your fuse panels for blown fuses and there are large fuses - sometimes called "fusible links" that feed the entire electrical system. If these blow out the entire system will go down. Also check the feed wire from the battery to the fuse box. The large wire goes to the starter. The smaller wire goes to the fuse box. Make sure the terminal is tight at the fuse box. Disconnect your ground wire from battery when doing this so you don't arc something and scare the S out of yourself - or worse get burned. Remove rings and watches when working on electrical stuff.
