Yes and No. The 90's sports cars were simpler. Less electronics and less drivers aids, meaning they were more fun. The newer cars are still fun, but something about the 90's lighter weight simpler cars made everything better.

New ACURA NSX concept in New Avengers movie coming out later in 2012. Actual car will be unveiled in 2012 and released in 2013.
New Honda S2000 replacement-Honda says will likely be all electric sports car convertible.
Toyota and Lexus:
Toyota just came out with the Toyota GT86 and Scion FRS co-developed with Subaru, who has their own version, the Subaru BRZ. Powertrain designed by Subaru.
Toyota MR2(stopped production in 2006 I believe)
Lexus IS-F-still around
Lexus LFA-better than the Supra ever dreamed to be.
Lexus GS-F-New
Toyota Supra Concept. Toyota just filed a new patent for the Supra name 4-5 months ago, which means they are bringing it back.
