can you put parts from a 1990 toyota celica into a 1989 toyota celica?

Default can you put parts from a 1990 toyota celica into a 1989 toyota celica?
could the alternator, and the egr valve from a 1990 celica replace those same parts for a 1989 celica?

looks like 90-93 are compatible.















same amp rating for the alt. but likely a fitment issue there. pcv valve maybe the same.































pcv valve is a hard part though. simply cleaning it and listen for the check ball rattle should be sufficient. they rarely ever need replacing. just cleaning. but any auto store will happily sell you another.































if you look those parts up @ http://www.rockauto.com/ and click on the part numbers, a pop-up appears showing all other apps..
