Why is my 2002 Toyota Camry 4cyl search engine light on?

Default Why is my 2002 Toyota Camry 4cyl search engine light on?
I have had a search engine light on for 2 months. I replaced both spark plugs and ignition coil. It keeps reading on the digital meter at the auto shop that #4 is misfiring. What is wrong with my car? I don't want to have to pay a mechanic up to $100 just to diagnose the problem. I'm afraid I might have to. Can anyone help assist me in this issue I've been having?

You could check your compression but a quality gauge is $300. You do know what the numbers are supposed to be...right?
