If it were mine, I'd get a quality set of sliders (with a cat protector) as soon as possible. A good set should last the life of the vehicle and will always fit no matter how much lift you have, so getting them early doesn't diminish their value as time goes on. You'll always be able to open your doors, and your catalytic converter won't get stolen or ripped off on a rock.
Then go find a cheap set of used tires on craigslist (or tires and wheels if you don't like mud tires on the street and would rather swap them for wheeling trips). If you're serious about wheeling it, you'll be lifting it and getting bigger tires soon enough anyway, so buying new tires in a stock size is a waste of money in my opinion.
