This is a common issue from what I've seen too. I do agree that this should be addressed but these cars ARE cheap cars. Neither cost anymore than a Corolla- which is not even a midlevel Toyota no matter what options you throw in it. It was never marketed as anything other than a cheap car. A class action lawsuit sounds a bit absurd to me, but that's just my opinion. Toyota gave a warranty. Once that warranty is fulfilled, it's the owner's responsibility. Seems odd that Toyota wouldn't try to help with these issues, but they aren't built as well as they used to be.
