Default Can a 2006 Toyota Tacoma tow a 1998 Toyota 4Runner?
I want to know if I can tow a 1998 Toyota 4Runner 4 cylinder automatic with my 2006 Toyota Tacoma V6 4x2 Prerunner Automatic. I will be towing the 4runner on a small trailer ( trailer hardly weights anything, heavy duty). Thanks!!

Probably. Look up the towing specs in the owner's manual or online to be sure.

Do you have the tow package? A 3rd-generation 4runner weighs about 3700 lbs. The Pre-runner V6 has a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs without the tow package and 6,500 lbs with it.































If you have the tow package, it should be no problem. If you don't, you'll be over the limit a little but it should still be okay. Just drive gently and leave plenty of stopping distance.
