From the 1990's, it was called the Toyota Corolla SR-5. It was very underpowered, my sister had one and it was rather dull and boring. ( Ontario, Canada ).
I remember driving it myself a few times, it was very low and the doors were really long and the gusts of wind would grab them in the parking lots so you had to hold onto the doors really tight or they would slam into other parked cars and could damage them. So we were always very careful.
The the problem with that car design was that it had a tendency for the EXHAUST manifold to crack.
