Anyone else experiencing uneven tire wear on 2011 Camry?

Default Anyone else experiencing uneven tire wear on 2011 Camry?
Tires worn at 13k. Dealer states alignment OK. Had to buy 4 new tires.















Any ideas or cure?















O.E. Bridgestone tires were ' roaring'; and were cupping badly.















Some of you answered:















Racing?! Squealing tires?! C' mon guys; this is a Camry , the most boring, worst handling , mundane car I've ever owned....

Interesting how tires would be worn out at 13,000 miles. You probably bought the car used with the 4 tires worn out already. I don't think any street or highway terrain would wear tires out that fast. Plus depends if youre racing or squealing the tires.

Were they Bridgestone Turanza EL400's? If the answer is yes then that is slightly low but not atypical for how many miles that specific tire lasts. Aftermarket replacement versions of the EL400 will last 50,000 miles but the tire Toyota uses on the Camry was built specifically for Toyota to Toyota's specifications (which do not include long wear) and the resulting poor mileage caused Bridgestone Tire to recently declare they will no longer let carmakers dictate the characteristics of the tire, even if that means losing the account.

well if the tires were just uneven worn then it's probably just need to balance those tires. now that you have new tires they should have been balanced when put on so you shouldn't have any problems.















Were the tires bald at 13k miles? or just uneven tread wear?















if completely bald someone must have been burning out (screeching tires) in your car

Overly aggressive driving habits can GREATLY reduce tire life, along with failure to rotate and monitor tire pressure......































P.S. examples of "aggressive" driving:































waiting 'till the last possible moment to apply brakes, turning corners at too high a speed, lane changes using too much steering input, pedal-to-the-metal starts etc etc all of which are easily done in a Camry.......my wife does that with HERS.
