Default Are toyota trucks really good?
Im a chevy man, everyone says they love toyota and they last. Do they really? Im going to look at a 4x4 toyota 88' tomorrow with 35's... 4 cylinder 5 speed. 1800$. Trading my s10 91' 2 wheel drive 4 cylinder 5 speed and 1000$ for it. Want opionions!

24 year old car depends on how its been treated and maintained, more so than the make. 35's are bit over the top for a Toyota.

As Cimra indicated, it depends on how the vehicle has been maintained. A well maintained vehicle will last a long time regardless of the make.































I purchased a new 1990 Toyota pickup (4X4 4 cylinder 5 speed) and I had it until 2001. I sold the vehicle to a friend and it had 320,000 miles on it. They kept it for a few years and put another 40,000 miles on it and it was still running great when they sold it. I then purchased a new 2001 Toyota Tacoma (4X4 V6 automatic) and I have 175,000 miles on it and it is still running great so as you can see that I am a Toyota believer, but it does have to be taken care of properly.

as good as any other if maintained. way better than most re-running gear. AISIN parts are rank amongst the highest in strength and durability.

me too. you'll be fine. they live forever. just keep tabs on the t-gear. and keep up on hub maint.

the key there is not too much grease. once a year if you do a fair amount of 4x4ing. just b4 winter as that's when the temps effect the grease most. don't want 'em hanging up on ya.















hope you still have AISIN hubs and not Warn's. they ok but not as tuff.















35"s. must have a lift?















1800 maybe a steel.

Too old and probably thrashed.































35's on a 4 banger????????? feel sorry for THAT motor........
