timing adjusted, pings, and octane points cover up the issue. (no valve adjust or t-chain replacement?)
my guess would be that the mechanic didn't jump terminals TE1 and E1 of the DLC box in the bay prior to shooting it and you're exactly 2 degrees to far advanced.

don't know as i would take it back to a wrench that doesn't do their homework.
DO NOT think that high octane fuel has solved the issue. pinging can be so quite you can't hear it. and it will still melt piston tops. this is *still* a serious condition. it needs to be addressed ASAP.
