depends on the code.
some codes are dumped after repairs. after forty similar start cycles, old/different fuel/timing base lines and other repair codes dump. some aren't dumped at all till you cut power to, or reset the ecu.
if you want to speed up the process,
pull the EFI main fuse for 30 secs. key off. that resets the ecu and clears all codes and management parameters. then warm engine and take her out for a non aggressive drive that includes hwy speeds. she'll start using that example as a base line parameter.
not all codes stored prompt a light. per manual. which i already gave you free dl links to.
