The Non Turbo Supra has 220HP.
It goes from 0-60mph in 6.1 seconds, which is still pretty good.
It is as fast as a Mazda RX-8, 1st generation Porsche Boxster, the latest Eclipse GTV6, Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6, Infiniti G35 Coupe, Automatic Nissan 350z, and 04-07 Subaru Impreza WRX, new 300+HP Camaro V6 and Mustang V6.
All of these cars have a 0-60mph time of 5.9-6.2 seconds.
So the stock Non Turbo Supra is still fast and fun to drive. With all the possible mods you can get without installing a Turbo, you can add maybe 40HP max, which will make its 0-60mph time around 5.6 seconds. To be as fast or faster than the Twin Turbo model, you will need a Turbo.
The Turbo model has 330HP and goes from 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds. No stock Supra TT can go from 0-60mph in under 5 seconds. Only modified ones.
For a stock Twin Turbo Supra to go from 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds, you will need to spend over $2000 in performance modifications. It is not cheap to make these cars faster.
Is it worth it? The Supra will always have a high resale value. Those Supra's on autotrader are too expensive though. I have seen white Supra's with 110,000 miles for $13,000 on craigslist last month. There are many from $9,000-15,000 range with 130,000 miles or less.
