Default Could there be any speed left in a $800 86 supra?
i have a neighbor who thinks he is going to buy a 86 supra for $800. i dont doubt it becasue they have some kind of honda, i think it is a pos 93 accord that has been beat beyond belief...































i know that some later supras actually were pretty quick, when they had the turbo(s) equipped. not like a high level american car, but still pretty fast. do you think it is possible that a 86 supra for $800 could have any speed left in it if it is worth 800?































of course it will still be a pile of cr@p but could it still be partially quick? was it ever quick?

Lots of 80's Supra's are sold for $300-1000 because they are slow and unreliable.































The newer Supra's from 93 and on was the reliable, fast, powerful one.































Many people buy $500 80's Supra's and put in the newer 2JZ engine from the 93+ Supra. Then it becomes very fast.































So it was never quick, but it was fun to drive and it has lots of potential to be quick. More than triple the potential than an Accord.

What do you care what they spend they're money on. You couldn't pay me to take on of your crappt american cars.
