Default 1996 toyota tacoma Grille?

I recently bought a 1996 Toyota tacoma automatic 4wd lx package. The grille is made of plastic and cracked and broke . Im having trouble finding the correct replacement grille. Plastic is fine and its chrome as seen in this pic. Please help Toyota family!

Also im trying to find a replacement quarter window latch passenger side, please help with that as well, thank you!

I would check out salvage yards in your area. You can use a grille from a 1995-1997 Tacoma. You should even be able to use grilles from 2wd 95-97 Tacomas, but they look different.

Ebay would be a good place to find the window latch. Is it the small hinged window near the mirror? If so, it's commonly called a "vent window". Do an Ebay search for "Tacoma vent window latch" or similar.

in support, aide in searching,

the forward "vent" window is also refered to as a "wing" window (old school term).

---------

Erics' suggestion on a slavage yard is actually a really good one now days. many use a national data base. so call a national chain one if possible. some smaller yards also participate.

what that means is iffin the ine you call doesn't have it, they should know where one is. good thing bout that is once paid for, can usually be drop shipped directly to you house or mechanics shop.

Tip,

keep track of all the plastic retainer clips and nut plates for the grille area and lights. they *will* break just replacing parts if not broken allready. keep *all* pieces. some are color coded. so save everything. likely for those, you'll have to go through toy to replace.

thumbs Eric.
