Default Where can I buy a engines and parts?

I have a car that is rear wheel drive. It's a 1984 Toyota Celica Supra GT, Toyota Celica Supra Mark 2. I was wondering where I can buy parts, engine, interior etc... It think it runs i6 "inline 6, straight 6" And where do street racers get there parts. I always hear them racing around by my house. I was thinking like a mechanic that they ask to import certain parts but I wasn't sure.

any auto parts store could order for you what you need, as well as put you in touch with a mechanic that works with fast cars. But thr are also Toyota mechanics/dealerships around. Since it's an old car then probably the mechanics rather than the dealerships would help you.

auto salvage yards(you may call them junk yards) but when they sell junk then it is a salvage operation. Of the 10,000 parts in a car, many of them can be reused as there is nothing wrong with them. You got a 20 year old car...its value is based on the year. So you would not put in a brand new motor because insurance won't compensate you if it got into an accident. Many accidents are not front end related(meaning the motor is good) and is cheap and they guarantee you a runner. Maybe not that motor but you can exchange it back for a runner. So it is your time that you lose(unless you are paying a mechanic-then you lose more) Which it is worthwhile to own a few wrenches and do the grunt work yourself.
