Toyota estimates an eV range of 11 miles for the pHEV Prius.

If you are able to get 11 miles from the plug-in charge at work (you have to stay below 62 mph for these 11 miles), and with the estimate in regular hybrid mode of 50 MPG...

To Home: 27 miles / 50 mpg = 0.54 gal

To Work: 38 miles / 50 mpg = 0.76 gal

Round-trip MPG: 76 miles / 1.3 gal = 58.46 MPG overall.

This is an estimate. Actual results may vary.
