Hi this too is really unreasonable given it's age. what you see a fault code may be something entirely different on a toyota diagnostics tester. that is the first problem. what these codes mean are special to each maker.















yes they have different meanings and as such it would be impossible to predict the cause.















given that this car is now some 16 years old twice the age of it's predicted life.















it would be or could be impossible to fix the fault.















so time to scrap it and buy a newer car.

This must be a Japanese Domestic Market Prius - the first year of Prius available outside Japan was the 2001 MY. The 1998 was an NHW10 model, the predecessor to the NHW11 that first got the world's attention.































That also figures into the error code - even NHW11 people don't recognize fault #160. The NHW11 uses OBDII for all its codes. I suspect most of the people who can help you speak Japanese as their native language.
