Yes, that amount is about twice the current value of that car with that mileage, regardless of whatever accessories have been added.

Yes, that is far too much. Even if the car is in great condition and very clean the average retail value a dealer would charge for this car is around $3,250. The average wholesale value is around $1,500. A private party sale would be around $2,400. The spoiler , wood grain, and gold Toyota emblems add no value to a car that is 17 years old. I would not recommend you buy any car that has this many miles on it. There are going to be many things that either need repair or will in a very short time. This car is near the end of it's useful life no matter how nice it looks. Unless you can buy it for around the wholesale value of $1,500 keep looking.

both of those answers are so WRONG it is unbelievable .

that car with 292,000 miles on it is a $1000 car at the most .. wholesale price would be about $300

google " .1997 Toyota camry le edmunds.com " where it says " appraise " click on that.

they say $750 dealer trade in

$1350 private sale

$2400 dealer retail. Which would be a very bad deal.

Who the heck is trying to sell it for 4000 ?
