Everything I read about a 2014 Corolla looks good...right up to the 42mpg it gets. You might want to read this. Pretty good review!

I am sure it is a fine econobox., dependable, good mpg, etc - If the heater and A/C work properly she should be able to climatize a few minutes after the car is started and the cabin temperature reaches the desired range.

I love corollas....I mean really love them. From my past experiences, they have been the best thing out there for econo cars. I still want to love them but I haven't heard many good things about them inthe past ten years. I recommended them to family and friends from experience and they all were pleased with the reliability of them- they run forever, but the build quality isn't up to snuff anymore. From what I've been reading about the 2014, they aren't any better. MPGs have always been underrated on the Corolla. My last was a 1999 LE automatic and I acheived 41-42 mpg on hwy trips averaging 70 miles per hour easily. My wife has a 2009 and gets that too. My brothers and my mother all own(ed) 2003 -2008 Corollas and got the same results. My bestfriend has a 2010 and he also gets that. I'm sure the 2014 will do it, if not better than that. Still, the build quality leaves something to be desired. by the way. Look at the others before buying. It's still a great car, but the distant competitors have gotten much better than they used to be.... The gap is almost closed.
