Default Can a toyota tacoma tow a wakeboard boat?

It's a 2005 v6 with the tow package. So 6500 lbs towing capacity... but would it tow a decent wakeboard boat?

Definitely! The 4.0 has plenty of output and with the tow package, it's setup to pull some pretty serious weight.

There's a forum thread somewhere (can't find it now though) with a bunch of examples of what people are towing with 4.0 Tacomas. The trailers include bobcats and small backhoes on trailers, all kinds of boats, campers, etc.

On the flats, I tow an 18' open-bow with a 1985 Toyota 4wd with a 2.4L. In the hills, we use a 1998 with a 3.4L though.
