Default Prius battery is only charging?

Hello I have a 2007 prius and when I'm driving in the freeway or city all the energy monitor displays is charging the bettery back then ( about 2 weeks ago ) I would be able to run at 40miles on energy and now I have not seen my battery charge all the way to green even though all the car does is charge and charge the battery any sensor that could be messed up something?

It doesn't sound like anything's wrong. The HV charge state very rarely reaches all-green in normal driving. It usually only happens after going down a long hill, like a mountain pass. For most driving, the charge level should stay somewhere in the middle most of the time.

Although the charge arrows may be pointed to the battery, the actual charging current may be very small. The arrows on the display don't tell the whole story, either. They just provide somewhat of an indication of the energy flow.

First best answer to Eric P. The hybrid function indication is often more confusing than enlightening. In my wife's 2010 we leave it at the display for power/economy for lack of a more useful display.
